BBC RADIO PLAYS 2025
This year, the International Arts Partnership has produced 2 radio plays for the BBC. These are ‘Mr Cameron Goes to Ukraine’ and ‘A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian.’
‘Mr Cameron Goes to Ukraine’
In 2022 former Prime Minister David Cameron joined ‘Chippy Larder’ founder and Labour councillor Rizvana Poole to deliver supplies to Ukrainian refugees in Poland.

‘A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian’
Tanika Gupta adapts Marina Lewycka’s witty, heartfelt novel about two feuding sisters who join forces to stop their elderly Ukrainian father from marrying a much younger gold-digger—unearthing family secrets and fifty years of European history in the process.

With the original testimony from survivors and the British officer in charge, this play explores the horror of the summer of 1945 when Cossacks were forcibly repatriated to the USSR.
